Regulatory status
KUBO is a referral and membership platform — not a law firm — and it's important you understand exactly where our role ends and a regulated firm's begins.
- KUBO is not authorised or regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
- All legal work referred through KUBO is carried out by independent firms directly regulated by the SRA.
- KUBO's role is to notice a potential need, get your consent, and make the introduction. That's where our part ends.
KUBO is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. All legal work referred through KUBO is carried out by independent firms regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

Marketing & email
Emails sent to a business address are generally outside PECR's individual consent rule, but UK GDPR still applies. Every marketing email from KUBO will:
- Clearly identify KUBO, with full company details.
- Come from a real, monitored address — never no reply.
- Include a clear way to opt out, honoured promptly.
- Never use a misleading subject line or disguise the sender.
07
Complaints
If something's gone wrong, tell us at hello@kubo.partners with your name, practice/company, and a summary of the issue.
- We'll acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days.
- We aim to give a full response within 14 working days.
- If your complaint is really about advice given by an independent law firm, we'll point you to that firm's own complaints process, and to the Legal Ombudsman if it remains unresolved.
08
Accessibility
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA guidelines — keyboard navigable, screen reader compatible, with sufficient colour contrast throughout. If any part of this site is hard to use, email hello@kubo.partners and we'll help directly.
09
Referral fee disclosure
When your accountant introduces you and you take up Protect or Grow, KUBO pays a share of the fees to your accountant, and, where applicable, to KUBO's own partners. This never increases what you pay.
Founding 25 partners earn 25% of the Protect membership fee in a client's first year, then 10% for as long as the client stays with KUBO. Standard partners earn 25% for the first year only. Commission applies to the membership fee only — Grow project fees are billed directly by the instructed law firm.
